Celebrating Native Australian Birds

The City of Stonnington's Activation Grants program is bringing the talents of contemporary Indigenous artist Josh Deane to life by supporting his captivating ‘Wings of Wonder’ art experience – coming to locations across the city this February.

From 6 February, Josh’s ‘Wings of Wonder’ will take flight on huge wooden cubes crafted by Indigenous builders, Dundee Rock.

Watch Josh bring the cubes to life as he applies his talents to creating magnificent native bird artworks. Experience the live painting sessions at locations throughout February:

  • 6, 7 and 8 February | Prahran Square | 9am - 3pm
  • 13, 14 and 15 February | Rockley Gardens | 9am - 3pm

Join us to celebrate Australia’s incredible biodiversity and wonder at our native species! On display until 1 May 2024.

The Stonnington Activation Grant program supports local artists and businesses to create innovative, creative and interactive experiences in outdoor public spaces.
