Awaken your senses at Prahran Square
Prahran Square will be filled with a new series of sounds, thanks to the talents of artists Catherine Wood and Bruce Ramus who have collaborated to bring us ‘Awaken’, a whimsical and melodic work designed for The Pipes, to inspire and energise.
The Pipes, by Bruce Ramus, has been a popular part of Prahran Square since it opened in 2019, filling the Square with light, movement and environmental sounds to effortlessly create a sense of belonging.
In tune with the change of seasons, Ramus and Wood have created a unique artwork that plays on the senses to create a moment of personal presence, perception and observation, as birds call in combination with rousing piano and orchestral strings.
Take a stroll through the Square and keep an ear out for this new atmospheric piece, playing three times on weekdays and twice on weekends from 22 March.
Monday - Friday: 8.30am, 12.30pm and 5.30pm
Saturday - Sunday: 10:00am and 1:00pm
