We invite you to experience the presence of this larger-than-life temporary sculpture, which will encompass Prahran Square day and night from August 1 – August 17.

Iwagumi Air Scape is a celebration of the Japanese reverence towards beautiful rock compositions as found in nature.

By day, visitors can explore immense air-filled inflatables that appear to be thousands of tonnes of rock. As the sun sets, the artwork transforms with a vibrant display of colour and an interactive soundscape inspired by nature’s gentle inhabitants.

This artwork is designed to be placed in the middle of a city, sharply contrasting features of the wilderness with the urban environment. An open-air temporary art installation, Iwagumi Air Scape delivers a public realm statement about nature and harmony that is at once monumental and subtle.

Continue exploring everything the Chapel Street Precinct has to offer from the culinary charm of Prahran Market to gastronomic eateries and delights. Delve into a range of wellness and beauty offerings or get your fashion and fitness fix.

Experience the European charm of Greville Street within walking distance from Prahran Square or take a stroll along Chapel Street and uncover hidden gems and latest trends in Windsor and South Yarra. We encourage you to linger longer and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of this famous precinct!
